So it has been quite a while since my last post and a lot has happened.
Weight Loss:
I have officially lost 25lbs! That’s half of my goal! Come on big 50! Two weeks ago I sprained my ankle walking to the tube and that put me off the Couch-2-5k game for 2 weeks, bummer. I am back on track and will be wrapping up week 4 of the program. Next week is also the half way mark for Couch-2-5k and it also includes the first jog with no walking breaks. That should be, ummm, interesting to say the least. Last Wednesday my friend Tristan took me to a rock climbing/bouldering gym. It was a lot of fun even though I wasn’t too good at it. After a few hours there by entire upper body was sore for 2 days. I plan on going back with him next week! I must say that out of all the people I have met and told about my weight loss plans Tristan has been the most helpful. He tells me how it is without any sugar-coating and is always giving me good advice. Some people don’t like bluntness when it comes to getting in shape, but I find it to be helpful criticism.
Church:
For those of you reading that don’t know me very well, I have been a Christian almost my entire life. Lately I have strayed pretty far from my relationship with God and it has had quite a negative effect on my life. But recently here in London I’ve found that part of me again and I’ve become a lot more cheerful and happy. I started going to Hillsong London on Sundays and I have met a lot of different people from all over the globe there. Everyone is extremely friendly and the worship is awesome. Hillsong London is very different from my church back home, but God is just as much present here as he is there. I will enjoy it while I am here.
London Travels:
So a few weeks ago my good friend and roommate Ben came to visit London from Spain with his friend Leah. I got to re-meet Leah and their friend Dani who is also doing a semester here in London. We spent the entire weekend all over London and got to see the London Tower, Buckingham Palace and Harrods. We had a blast! Dani and I are also going to eventually be planning some trips around the UK together! I have found a 1 day bus trip that goes to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford that we might consider! Easter Trip to Wales is also booked! w00t!
Programming:
Been learning functional language Haskell. It’s pretty neat, but I think this will soon evolve into learning LISP. I have also been working with LaTeX. Even though it really isn’t programming it has given me a reason to really dive into emacs, along with my C++.

Hey! I just stumbled across your blog and wanted to say congrats on losing 25 pounds! That’s a huge accomplishment. Also, I’m a little bit jealous that you go to Hillsong London. i bet the worship is amazing, to say the least!
Keep up the hard work!
